Gents Hairdressers

Mad Alf was a heavy smoker who dropped ash on his customers and gave the haircut that he thought was needed. He was the local barber for a long time, retiring around the time that the school across the way was closed and demolished. Many of his customers were generations of boys from the school. They gave him a well known nickname. Many of these boys still live around here, and they are the local community. This shop is a part of that community. Obviously times have moved on, styles have changed but the barbers is still here, and now at least, you can get the right haircut. So here we are, Mad Alf's is back!
